Perfect Scarlet FOTD

Hi all,

Just something quick and easy today with some newly acquired goodies. Hope you like it. I'm going to start getting back into pigments next week as I've been neglecting them for a while.

-Elizabeth Arden blush in Romantic Rose and
-Missha Sweet Line blusher in Shimmering Snow.
Eyes:
-TFSI
-Milani ShadowEyez in Almond Cream
-From M&S Autograph eyeshadow palette: Sand (brow bone and inner corner), Peach (lid), Taupe (crease) and Carbon (liner) and
-Max Factor False Lash Effect waterproof mascara.
Lips:
-Maybelline Clear lipliner
-Revlon ColorStay lipliner in Red (to line and fill in) and
-Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect lipstick in Perfect Scarlet.

It's very pigmented and blends like a dream. It's why I'm now lemming tonnes of other M&S make-up.

C'Mon Chameleon FOTD

Hi all,

I'm trying to use items I've been neglecting lately and Catrice eyeshadow in C'Mon Chameleon is one of them. For me, this is far superior to MAC Club as it has less red in it. For this look, I applied it over a matte deep brown cream base and the effect is so pretty.

-Prestige Waterproof eyeliner in Charcoal Brown
-MUG gel liner in Mobster and
-Max Factor False Lash Effect waterproof mascara.

-NYX Round lipgloss in Cafe Latte.

Subtle plums FOTD

Hi all,

Just something quick and easy with most of the emphasis on my lips. I have to say that the shade I used as a liner is a dead on dupe of MAC Sketch. I'm very impressed with the palette overall.

-Bourjois eyeshadow in Blanc Diaphane as a highlighter.

-White shimmer from NYX Butt Naked palette (brow bone and inner corner)
-Light sepia colour from NYX Butt Naked palette (mixed with crease shade to blend)
-MAC Sketch dupe from NYX Butt Naked palette (as liner) and
-MUA Mega Volume waterproof mascara.
Lips:
-Maybelline Clear lipliner
-NYX Lip liner in Prune and
-Revlon Colour Burst lipstick in Grape.

Chocolate eyes/cranberry lips FOTD

Hi all,

I decided to do a warm chocolate toned eye today with my red lips rather than a nude or taupe one. I feel a little 1990s but not in bad way.

-Deep chocolate brown by Essence (was a tester, no label) (outer corner blended inwards and lower lashline)

-Catrice Bring Me Frosted Cake (brow bone)
-Pure Luxe Asp (inner corner)
-MUG gel liner in Mobster and
-Max Factor False Lash Effect waterproof mascara.

Glasses of the day FOTD

Hi all,

I had planned a smoky eye but I had a very rough night and didn't want to make myself look more tired so I went lighter instead. Please excuse my red face. It's flippin' hot out there and I couldn't find any shade to walk in.

September Sunset FOTD

Hi all,

I spotted some gorgeous sunset pictures the other day on Facebook and couldn't resist stealing the colour combo for an eye make-up look. Hope you like it.

-Purple from Jordana eyeshadow duo in Twofold (crease and slightly on outer corner over Eggplant to add more purple and lower lashline)
-MUG Chickadee (inner crease and lower lashline)
-Rimmel Matte White (brow bone)
-Suds and Sass Coma White (brow bone, inner corner and centre of lid)
-NYX Slide On pencil in Jet Black 
-HIP Cream liner in Black (this is years old and still good!) and
-Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara.

-Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate.

Much thought and a little break later.........

Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of thinking over the past few days and have decided to keep my blog going after all. It's a welcome distraction for me and it's always good to get feedback from people about my looks. Things have improved for me, too, so I'm not as depressed as I was a little while back. I'll be starting from scratch this week and really want to include more reviews (both books and make-up) and swatches as well. So please bear with me and watch this space! I also want to thank people for their kinds words when I was at a very low ebb.
